Wilton House, Salisbury - with lunch and guided tour
Home of the Earls of Pembroke new day trip - not in brochure
Tuesday 2 May
This magnificent historic house has been in the same family for over 450 years and is a welcoming place to visit. It has a wonderful art collection and has been used as a filming location for Sense and Sensibility, The Madness of King George, Mrs. Brown and Pride and Prejudice.
A major programme of restoration and conservation has continued over the years and several new gardens have been added. We have arranged a guided tour of the house before lunch, which will be a buffet so you can choose your own food to accompany several salads and hot new potatoes. A glass of wine with the meal, plus tea or coffee, will be included.
In the afternoon you will be free to enjoy the gardens and shop before we depart
