We are delighted to say that we are able to return to The Lake District and stay at The Inn on the Lake. This hotel has one of the most spectacular settings with lawns sweeping down to the edge of Ullswater. This lake is the second largest in England and is, possibly England’s most beautiful, set among some of the finest fells in Lakeland. Our tour this times covers some of the areas of the Lake District that we did not include on our previous tour. We will enjoy another day with Mountain Goat Tours, a company using smaller mini-coaches and local guides. They can go to the beautiful scenic areas that our coach would not be able to reach. Our Mountain Goat day will include Ashness Bridge which is the most photographed packhorse bridge in the Lake District. It is positioned in a stunning location with lovely views over Derwent water and Bassenthwaite Lake in the distance. All our double rooms will have lake views and all single occupancy rooms have views over the fells. Dinner each evening is from the hotel’s “signature menu”. We will have overnight stops on both journeys to and from The Lake District”
The Inn on the Lake Hotel enjoys one of the most spectacular settings in the Lake District with one of the very few hotels with grounds leading right down to the lake edge. The hotel is set in 15 acres of grounds and the restaurant has 2 AA Rosettes for the quality of its food. Dining is a special event each evening.
