Longleat - Festival of Light                1 - 2 December

Beechfield House Hotel

The annual Festival of Light sees the Longleat estate in Wiltshire transformed into a glowing wonderland with a series of giant illuminated lantern displays to get you in the mood for the festive season.  The Elizabethan stately home will be traditionally decorated and full of atmosphere and your entrance includes the many other attractions on the estate including the safari drive-through in our coach to see the animals.

Our hotel is a luxury country manor near Bath with an AA Rosette restaurant and gardens.

On the second day we visit Lacock, a picturesque village, with its Abbey which will be decked out for Christmas and have warming fires and a local choir.  You can also visit the Fox Talbot photography museum, shops and pub in this attractive village owned by the National Trust.

Beechfield House is a  luxury country house near Chippenham and Bath.  Built in 1878 for  a local country gentleman, it was an impressive family home for 90 years.  Today it is a country house hotel with 24 good sized bedrooms, all refreshingly and differently decorated, and including all the amenities expected from a quality hotel, including broadband and internet connection, tea and coffee making facilities..
