It is a little while since we last went to Belgium so we have included a short tour  to Ypres and Ghent.  Our hotel is ideally situated, just a comfortable walk to Ypres’s picturesque town centre, market and the Menin Gate where a special ceremony is performed every evening at 8.00 pm to remember the soldiers missing after the First World War.  Ghent is also a beautiful city with a centre which is, in itself, a testament to the city’s mediaeval might.

Hotel Ariane is family owned and is the only 4 star hotel in Ypres. The  hotel is just a short walk from Saint Martins Cathedral; the centre of Ypres and the Menin Gate. All bedrooms are very comfortable with well equipped en-suite bathrooms.  The hotel restaurant serves good food using local and regional products. The hotel offers some spa therapy and there is a whirlpool and Turkish bath.
