We are hoping to be returning to Sandy & Stephane’s restaurant.  We can be assured of a warm welcome, good food and good wine.  Warm pastries and Bucks Fizz are served while we are on our way to the Channel Tunnel.  Aux Amis de Stef is a friendly, traditional village restaurant in the countryside near Boulogne with the added benefit that the delightfu couple who own it, Stefan and Sandy, learned their craft from working at Hostellerie de la Riviere..... and it shows. A glass of champagne is served on arrival with an amuse bouche.  In the summer months we are greeted with our glass of champagne in the garden if the weather allows.  This is then followed by four courses,  accompanied by selected white and red wines. The leisurely lunch is completed by coffee and petit fours. The food is served in the friendly, relaxed manner you look for in French dining and the meal is always very good.  A light supper is served on the train while travelling back to Folkestone.
